Order School Kits
Save time by ordering teacher-approved supplies through EPI School Supplies. Each order also helps our school. Kits are organized by grade level, cost less than retail and delivered to your home before school starts.
New Families
The New Families Committee is organizing two playdates for incoming kids and parents to get to know one another. It’s a great way to learn more about the school and meet other families before Orientation.

New Volunteer Requirements
Due to new state law and district guidelines, there is now additional annual training and clearence requirements for many school volunteers. This includes a 45-50 min. online training that must be completed before volunteering on campus or during school-day activities. We appreciate your time to comply with these additional steps and grateful for your continues support to our community as we adapt to these new requirements.
-
In general, if you are volunteering more than 2x/year during the school day or directly with students, you will likely need to complete the training.
Examples:
Going on a field trip → YES
Helping in the classroom (ex: math stations few times/year) → YES
-
If your involvement is more limited or outside the school day:
Helping with drop-off (car line, opening doors) → NO
Volunteering 1–2 times/year at events outside school hours (Ice Cream Social, Carnival, etc.) → NO
-
This training and clearance must be completed before your next qualifying volunteer activity, so we encourage you to review the requirements sooner rather than later if you plan to be involved.

We truly appreciate your flexibility and your ongoing commitment to supporting our students and teachers. Volunteers are such an important part of what makes Walnut Acres special, and we hope this new process still allows you to stay involved in ways that work for you.
