The Walnut Acres Parent Faculty Club presents
Art Show 2023 - Thursday, May 11th
The Walnut Acres Art Show is scheduled for Thursday, May 11th. This is a non-competitive and non-fundraising event showcasing artwork from all grades at Walnut Acres.
For this event, the MUR will be transformed into a Modern Art Gallery where each class will be represented with artwork made during Art Awareness classes. In addition, we will also be displaying individual submissions by any student who wishes to participate. Drawings, sculpture, painting, fiber arts, mixed media, computer animation and collage are just some of what you can expect to see this year.
Students will tour the "museum" with their classes during school hours. That evening, parents, family and friends are invited to attend the artists reception from 6-8pm in the MUR. All artwork will be returned to the students.
We encourage every student to participate. To submit an individual entry, please read the Art Show Student Guidelines and complete the online entry form.
Please Note Art Show Key Dates:
Monday, May 8th: Last day to submit entry forms
Wednesday, May 10th: Artwork Due in the MUR before school, 7:45am-8am
Thursday, May 11th: Art Show tours and evening reception, 6-8pm
Friday, May 12th: Pick-up student artwork in the MUR before school, 7:45-8am
