We are excited to announce the Walnut Acres Jog-a-Thon will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023

By combining fun, fitness, and fundraising, we hope that all students will help us achieve our goal of reaching or exceeding $30,000!

Thanks to the generosity of family, friends, and local businesses, last year's Walk-a-Thon generated over $34,528 in donations for our school. These funds allowed for staffing, enrichment and vital campus support.  As such, this event is a great way for students to directly raise funds for school enhancements that staff, families, and the students themselves will enjoy during the current school year!

The goal of this event is physical activity, school spirit and fun!  

Facts About Fundraising

In April, students ask friends and family to sponsor their efforts with a flat fee for walking or jogging laps at the Jog-A-Thon. Donations can be made online at, or by check. This is a flat donation event, not per lap. Donations are tax deductible. 

Two ways to donate:

Your Sponsors can Donate Online with You will receive an email from 99Pledges for each student, with a link to their personal student online fundraising page. This page can be posted to Facebook, or forwarded by email to friends and family.

Your Sponsors can Write a Check. Complete the Check Donation form that we will send home, attach your check payments, and return them to the Walk-A-Thon box in the school office. Please turn in your check donations by Friday, November 10th, 2023 to be eligible for the fundraising prizes.

Facts About the Jog-A-Thon Event

Students set lap goals, ask for donations, and get ready to walk or jog laps with their classmates.

On event day, all Walnut Acres students and staff will walk outside for 30 minutes between 8:30am and 12:30pm. They will be energized by music from a live DJ, inspired to keep moving by motivational signs and cheering from the crowd. 

Parents and Friends are Welcome to Attend the Walk-A-Thon and Cheer the Students On!

Four Classes in the school will win a popsicle party and extra recess!  

The Top Ten Individual Fundraisers in the school will Win a Prize !
