Dine & Donate - THANK YOU!!

Thank you to everyone who placed orders during our Dine & Donate with Round Table Pizza last Wednesday. Alireza Vahdat from Round Table, and a former Walnut Acres parent, said this Walnut Acres fundraiser has happened since 2011. Usually the sales range between $400-$900. Last Wednesday they had over $2,000 in sales! From those sales, Round Table will be donating $405 to Walnut Acres. THANK YOU! Every bit helps the PFC.

Our next Dine & Donate with be on October 27th with Jack's Urban Eats. More info to come.

Spirit Wear

Spirit Wear orders placed through Konstella at the start of the school year will be available for pick-up this coming Wednesday, September 30th and Thursday, October 1st at the picnic tables in front of the office. Masks are required and please observe all social distancing best practices while waiting in line.

The following pick-up times are based on the last name of the PERSON WHO PLACED THE ORDER (not the child's last name):

  • Wednesday September 30th

  • - 1-2pm: A-D

    • - 2-3pm: E-K

  • Thursday October 1st

  • - 1-2pm: L-R

    • - 2-3pm: S-Z

    • - 3-4pm: unclaimed orders A-Z

Walnut Creek Arts + Rec Programs Focus on Supporting Students Both the During School Day and Beyond – Registration Open Now

Need some help managing your child’s distance learning?

Looking for safe opportunities for your child to socialize with peers and engage in physical fitness, arts and recreation activities?

The City of Walnut Creek’s Arts + Rec Department has launched a new series of School Day Enrichment Programs which provide students with social interactions and engaging enrichment activities throughout the day, while also supporting their distance learning. Your child will build new friendships and new skills while having fun with a small, physically distanced, stable group! Starting October 5 both half day sessions (4 days per week) and full day sessions (5 days per week) are available. Arts + Rec is also offering afterschool camps and electives both in-person and online that can augment your child’s distance learning day. Program times and focuses vary from sports to ceramics, but all programs adhere to federal, state and county health guidelines. Take Home a Rec-Tivity Packet for gradesTK - 8thGet creative and enjoy a play pack! Let the creativity of Walnut Creek Arts + Rec staff inspire some fun-filled time with pre-planned activities you can do with your family including an optional Zoom Magic Performance and Trick Reveal with Justin! We’ve included instructions, specialty project supplies, a supplies list for items you need from home and the necessary magic trick supplies for Zoom. Specific activities are a surprise but expect 6 – 8 activities for both indoor and outdoor play, physical expression and arts & crafts. Must register by 9/28 in order to guarantee supplies. You will choose the time and location to pick up your packet at time of registration. Optional Zoom Magic Session Sunday, 10/11, 11:00 - 11:30am. Zoom login will be sent to registered participants.
