Jog-a-Thon

Jog-a-Thon Fundraiser

The Jog-a-Thon is an annual Walnut Acres tradition that brings together fitness, school spirit, and fundraising. All students participate by walking or jogging laps on campus during a fun, high-energy school day filled with music, cheering, and community support.

The goal of this event is physical activity, school spirit and fun!

Students are encouraged to set lap goals and collect donations from family, friends, and neighbors. Donations can be made in two ways:

  • Online through each student’s personal fundraising page on 99Pledges, which can be shared by email or social media

  • By check, using the paper donation form sent home with students

All funds raised go directly to the Walnut Acres PFC to support classroom aides, enrichment programs, and campus resources that benefit all students. Donations are tax-deductible (tax id # 94-2398637).

Incentives and Prizes

  • Top 10 fundraisers receive a Jog-a-Thon t-shirt and get to silly string the principal

  • The teacher with the most sponsor donations wins a pizza party for their class

  • The student with the most individual donations (by count, not dollar amount) in each grade wins a pizza lunch with the principal

  • The top three fundraising classes receive an ice cream party

  • The class with the highest participation on 99Pledges wins an ice cream party

  • The class with the most combined laps wins an ice cream party and the Golden Shoe award

Parents and guardians are welcome and encouraged to attend the event and cheer on the students.
