Students will tour the "museum" with their classes during school hours. That evening, parents, family and friends are invited to attend the artists reception from 6-8pm in the MUR. All artwork will be returned to the students.

We encourage every student to participate. To submit an individual entry, please read the Art Show Student Guidelines complete the online entry form.     

Art Show Timeline (Recurring Each Year):

  • Final day to submit online entry form: early in the week of the show

  • Artwork drop-off: before school on the day prior to the show

  • In-school tours and evening artist reception: typically Thursday, 6–8pm

  • Artwork pickup: before school the next day 7:45-8:00am

The Walnut Acres Art Show

The Walnut Acres Art Show is usually held in May each year. This is a celebrated event showcasing artwork from all grades at Walnut Acres. It's free, non-fundraising, and non-competitive - just beautiful art made by the students!

To submit an individual entry, please read the Art Show Student Guidelines then complete the online entry form.    

For this event, the MUR will be transformed into a Modern Art Gallery where each class will be represented with artwork made during art class with Mrs. Kyono. In addition, we will also be displaying individual submissions by any student who wishes to participate. Drawings, sculpture, painting, fiber arts, mixed media, computer animation, collage, etc. - all art is welcome!
