Walnut Acres 2nd Annual Walk-A-Thon!
Fundraise:  March 23 to April 13
Walk: Friday, April 13, 8:30am-12:30pm


Walk 1: 2nd & 3rd Grade, 8:45am-9:45am 

Walk 2: TK, K & 1st Grade, 10 am-11 am

Walk 3: 4th & 5th Grade, 11:15am-12:15pm

Our goal is to raise money for the Walnut Acres PFC to fund classroom aides, learning labs and technology, art and music instruction, and other elementary essentials for this current school year

Facts About Fundraising

From March 23rd-April 13th, students ask friends and family to sponsor their efforts with a flat fee for walking or jogging laps at the Walk-A-Thon on Friday, April 13th. Donations can be made online at 99pledges, or by check. This is a flat donation event, not per lap. Donations are tax deductible.

Here’s Where Your Fundraising Dollars Go.
All proceeds will help fund this year’s classroom aides, learning labs and technology, art and music instruction, and other elementary essentials. All contributions are tax-deductible. 

Your Sponsors can Donate Online with 99Pledges. You will receive an email from 99Pledges for each student, with a link to their personal student online fundraising page. This page can be posted to Facebook, or forwarded by email to friends and family.

Your Sponsors can Write a Check. Complete the Check Donation form that was sent home, attach your check payments, and return them to the Walk-A-Thon box in the school office. Please turn in your check donations by Friday, April 13th to be eligible for the prize raffle(s). 

Facts About the Walk-A-Thon Event

Students set lap goals, participate in optional fun runs, and are ready to walk or jog laps with their classmates for 20 minutes between 8:30am-12:30pm on Friday, April 13th!

Free Fun Run Available to Students on March 29th, 7:20-7:50am. Sign up on Konstella.

3 Classes in the School will Win for Most Class Spirit, Top Fundraising and Most Laps. These 3 classes will win a Jamba Juice Party and extra recess.

All Parents and Friends are Welcome to Attend the Walk-A-Thon and Cheer the Students On! 
There are three walks scheduled between 8:30am-12:30pm by grade level. 
  • Walk 1: 2nd & 3rd Grade, 8:45am-9:45am 
  • Walk 2: TK, K & 1st Grade, 10 am-11 am
  • Walk 3: 4th & 5th Grade, 11:15am-12:15pm
Students will Show their Class Spirit, Warm-up with Fitness Expert Tracy Pajer, and Walk or Jog for 20 Minutes to the Music of T.J. the D.J. After their event, they can help themselves to an energy bar donated by NuGo, and water donated by our local Whole Foods.

Walk-A-Thon Prizes

Grand Prize Winner! The top fundraiser in the school will win a pair of tickets to see the Golden State Warriors.

 

Raise over $150 in donations, and your name will be entered into a prize giveaway for a chance to win prizes including:

·      An Art Making Party for your child and six friends at Rebel Art School.
·      10 free 30-minute sessions in the Ultimate Shot Lab at The Ultimate Fieldhouse.

 

 

Raise over $100 in donations, and your name will be entered into a prize giveaway for a chance to win prizes including:

  •         A free pass for one month of dance classes at Encore Gym.
  •        Basketball jerseys and more from Sports Basement.

 

Raise over $50 in donations, and your name will be entered into a prize giveaway for a chance to win prizes including:  

  •       A free pass for one hour of jumping at Sky High Sports.
  •       Basketballs, soccer Balls, footballs and more compliments of Sports Basement.

Prizes! A Jamba Juice Smoothie Party and 15 minutes extra recess will go to:

  •        The Class in the School with the Most Spirit
  •         The Class in the School with the Top Fundraising
  •       The Class in the School With the Most Lap
