Enrichment Registration

HOW TO REGISTER:

  • Complete one registration form per student.
  • Write a separate check for each preferred class choice.  All checks should be made payable to Walnut Acres Parent Faculty Club (or WAPFC) unless otherwise indicated in the catalog.
  • Staple check(s) to the registration form.
  • Place registrations in the Enrichment Box in the office (where additional forms are located) during the Registration Period stated.
  • Forms will be processed in the order they are received.
  • Checks are not deposited until the first week of classes.

Please note that classes begin and end on different weeks, depending on the length of the class.


REFUNDS

No refunds will be issued as of 7 days before the first day of class.  Tuition will not be pro-rated if student misses class.


DAY CARE AND ATTENDANCE

It will be each child's responsibility to remember that he/she has an enrichment class to attend.  Class rosters are provided to the Walnut Acres Daycare.  Instructors will return students to daycare at the end of class, but it is not the instructor’s responsibility to look for students who have not come to class


BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS

The Walnut Acres Rules of Conduct are still in effect for the Enrichment classes.  Instructors have the right to dismiss any student if the child is not behaving appropriately.  This will be done without a refund.   Please be prompt in dropping off and picking up your children from classes.  The instructors are NOT RESPONSIBLE for students once they have been dismissed from class and are NOT expected to wait around for students to be picked up.  For safety reasons students should remain in the classroom until class has been dismissed by the teacher.


REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION

Class lists will be posted in the office window prior to start-date or when class has filled.  Please check if a class is a second choice class. If a student does not get his/her first choice, we will attempt to enroll him/her in the designated second choice class.  If a student’s name does not appear on the roster, then the class is full and the student has been placed on a waiting list. 


WAITING LIST

Students on the waiting lists will be contacted.  Checks will be held until the student’s registration is confirmed.  If the student’s registration is not confirmed, the check will be returned.


EMERGENCY CLASS CANCELLATION

In the unlikely event that a class must be cancelled on a scheduled day (i.e., instructor illness) we will notify your student’s teacher and try to reach the parent/guardian by phone. Please make sure that you fill in telephone numbers that allow us to reach you in the event this occurs.  Also, if your phone numbers change during the semester, it is important to let us know.
