Be sure to WALK or ROLL to school so you can receive a participation prize! And, representatives from Street Smarts will be here to hand out helmets to students who NEED them. Walk and Roll to School Day is extra special this year as we will be recognizing the completion of the Safe Routes to Schools construction around Walnut Acres and Foothill schools. These improvements were accomplished by parents like you voicing their concerns and working with the City of Walnut Creek to make our daily routes to school much safer. There will be a short ceremony at 8:20am in front of Foothill Middle School, with city council members, principals and community members. * * * * * Volunteer Fingerprinting Information ![]() If you are new to our school and plan to volunteer in the classroom or on campus, we suggest you get fingerprinted as soon as possible. It's strongly suggested that you take care of this detail as soon as possible. If you wait, there will likely be a long wait list (and therefore a long delay) for the fingerprinting appointments. Volunteers are a vital part of Walnut Acres, but only authorized volunteers are able to participate in classrooms and on campus. The MDUSD website outlines all the information you need.
